What should I do if I have a booking for the Colosseum with a GUIDED TOUR?
Once you have completed the purchase of your tickets on our website, you will receive your booking confirmation by email. In a subsequent email, you will receive a link to access the private area of our website, where you will be able to download your entrance tickets to the monument, as well as the audio guide (if you have also selected it). Your tickets will indicate the meeting point for the start of the guided tour. You must be at this point on the selected date and time. Please arrive with sufficient advance time to enjoy your guided tour without any issues.
What should I do if I booked my Colosseum tickets with an AUDIO GUIDE?
If you make a booking with an audio guide, you must follow the instructions indicated in the booking confirmation email to download it or collect it.
What documentation do I need to access the Colosseum?
For the Colosseum, the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, tickets are nominal. This means that at the entrance to the monument you will be asked to present an original physical identity document (ID card or equivalent) or a passport. This is mandatory for access.
Can I bring my Colosseum tickets in digital format?
Yes, there is no problem. They can be presented in any digital format as long as all details are perfectly legible.
Do children need tickets to enter the Colosseum?
Yes, all visitors need a ticket to enter, regardless of age. Without a ticket, access to the monument will not be permitted.
Can I change or cancel my Colosseum tickets?
Once the booking request has been made, neither the name, nor the date, nor the time, nor the tickets can be modified or cancelled, and therefore no refund is available. This is explicitly stated on our website and is expressly accepted during the purchase process, including the final step where the cancellation policy is acknowledged.
Can I exercise the right of withdrawal?
The right of withdrawal does not apply to this purchase, as expressly stated by the monument itself. Once the purchase has been completed, it is not possible to cancel the transaction. Tickets, vouchers and additional services purchased are non-refundable. Likewise, it is not permitted to change the date and/or time of the booking or to modify the names of the participants.
Is it possible to eat inside the Colosseum?
It is not allowed to bring food or drinks from outside into the Colosseum in Rome. It is also not possible to purchase food inside the Colosseum. However, it is possible to drink water from the numerous drinking fountains located within the facilities.
Is there a cloakroom or luggage storage service at the Roman Colosseum?
No, there are no lockers or luggage storage facilities at the monument.
Is the visit to the Colosseum cancelled in case of rain?
No, the visit can take place under any weather conditions.
What happens if the Colosseum closes?
The closure of the monument occurs on rare occasions. In exceptional cases, the monument informs us of its closure with very little notice. In this situation, we can reschedule your visit for another day or issue a 100% refund.
Are pets allowed to enter the monument?
Small dogs are allowed in the open areas of the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. The Colosseum and all enclosed areas are excluded.
Can I enter the Colosseum at a different time than the one selected during my purchase?
There is no time limit for staying inside. Your visit will only be limited by the monument’s opening hours during each period of the year.
